Fully autonomous fresh-market apple harvesting - straight from the tree to the bin?
We invite you to a live demonstration of ApplePicker – a machine that uses six arms to pick apples, then checks their quality and gently places them into a bin.
ApplePicker is a fully autonomous machine designed for harvesting fresh-market (dessert) apples. It is equipped with an advanced vision system using AI models (2D and 3D), allowing it to precisely determine the position of apples on the tree as well as the best approach path and picking directions.
Six dedicated, costume designed manipulators replicate the correct apple-picking motion, which increases harvesting efficiency and enables high throughput of up to 70,000 picks per day.
Our solution also handles the apples after picking. An inspection module detects and rejects damaged apples so they don’t affect the rest of the fruit in the bin. Next, a rotary wheel gently arranges the selected harvest inside the bin.
We warmly invite you to visit our booth, see a fully functional prototype during a work simulation, and talk with us about the technology and its potential deployments.
