Marktgemeinschaft Bodenseeobst is one of the largest German producers organizations for table fruit.
The main task of the Marktgemeinschaft Bodenseeobst (MaBo) is to coordinate fruit production and marketing. In this way, MaBo strengthens the position of producers in the market. In particular, MaBo ensures the distribution of high-quantity table fruit to other regions and countries.
The MaBo office in Friedrichshafen is the center of the cooperative and producer organisation. This is where the marketing is managed, where the administration is based, as well as the fruit accounting and where the employees of consulting and quality management have their offices.
In addition to the tasks described here, MaBo supplies fruit farms from its warehouse in Friedrichshafen with fruit trees, material for tree installations and hail net systems.
MaBo has outsourced the distribution of its fruit to specialized companies. Currently, we have marketing contracts with 8 wholesale fruit markets, which provide the most modern technology and necessary staff for storage and ready-to-ship preparation. Sales to the food retail sector are consolidated through the two sales offices Obst vom Bodensee Vertriebsgesellschaft and Verkaufsgemeinschaft Salem-Frucht.
