Dual study in Agricultural Economics? Just ask the people who are doing it!

Are you considering studying Agricultural Economics? Is your farm looking for qualified young talent? Or are you simply curious about how dual studies actually work? Then stop by and ask your questions to the right people.

Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Ravensburg
Ravensburg, Germany

What awaits you at our booth:

Students in the middle of their studies: What's it really like switching between lectures and farm work every three to six months? What do you actually do during your practical semester at a fruit farm or vegetable production company? And how do you manage to balance it all? Our students will tell you how it really is – with all the ups and downs.

Alumni working in the field: By now, several of our DHBW graduates run their own farms, manage production departments, or work in exciting positions in the agricultural sector. They can tell you what the degree program has done for them and which doors opened afterwards.

Professors and lecturers from practice: We don't just bring theory – we work closely with agricultural businesses and the Competence Center for Fruit Growing Lake Constance. Feel free to ask us anything: About course content in areas like animal & plant production, sustainability, agricultural marketing, agricultural technology, career paths, or current challenges in the industry.

Particularly interesting: Our Fruit & Vegetable Production module

Here we go deep: from pruning techniques to plant protection to profitability calculations. You won't just be taught theoretically, but also by practitioners who are absolute experts in their field. The goal? That students understand how sustainable production, top quality, and economic success come together – from cultivation to marketing.

Who should visit?

High school students: If you want to know whether Agricultural Economics is right for you – ask the people who've studied it or are right in the middle of it.

Farms and businesses: If you're considering becoming a training partner and bringing young, motivated people into your team who can not only get things done but also think entrepreneurially.

Everyone else: If you're interested in how the next generation is tackling agriculture – pragmatically, sustainably, and intelligently.

What we can offer you: Honest insights. No sugar-coated advertising promises. And the chance to talk directly with people who know what they're talking about.

So: Stop by, grab a bag of popcorn, and let's chat. We look forward to seeing you!
