Romeo® protects your vines!
Romeo®, a biofungicide containing the active ingredient Cerevisane®, provides preventive protection against powdery mildew, downy mildew, and Botrytis by inducing the plant's own defence mechanisms. It is best used in combination with fungus-specific fungicides, either as a tank mix or alternately.
Romeo®, the innovative biofungicide, effectively protects against powdery mildew, downy mildew, and Botrytis when used preventively. The active ingredient Cerevisane®, based on the non-living cell walls of the yeast strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae LAS117, induces the plant's own defence mechanisms. Romeo® must be applied preventively and carefully, as it activates the plant's own defence mechanisms, thus preventing infection from developing. Romeo® cannot cure an existing infection, but it can reduce the spread to new growth. Application in combination with fungus-specific fungicides – either as a tank mix or alternating – is optimal. Precise and careful application with sufficient water is essential.
The crop is protected for 7–10 days, starting 24 hours after preventive treatment with Romeo®. After this period, the treatment with Romeo® must be repeated to maintain protection. Romeo® can be mixed with biological or conventional plant protection products without compromising its effectiveness.
Application Notes
Complete coverage of leaves and fruit is essential for success. Depending on pathogen pressure and application intervals, further spraying may be necessary. The use of a wetting and adhesion promoter (SprayFix®) is recommended. In cases of very high pathogen pressure, the amount of copper should be increased accordingly, but the application rate of 3 kg/ha of pure copper must not be exceeded as an average over a 5-year period. Maximum number of treatments (in vine): 10 per crop or per year. Important: After 4-5 applications within 28-40 days, allow a break of at least 14 days. When using plant protection products and foliar fertilisers, we recommend BAGIRA® for stress reduction and improved nutrient availability. When using wettable sulphur (AZUMO® WG), the maximum annual total application rate must be observed. This quantity must not be exceeded. Romeo® is compatible with most common plant protection products. Do not use with phosphoric acid. However, we still recommend conducting a mixing test to rule out any uncertainties. For bicarbonates, separate pre-dissolution is recommended due to the pH value.
Note: Use plant protection products with care. Always read the label and product information before use. For professional use only! Proof of expertise in plant protection is required for the purchase and use of this plant protection product!
