CURATIO® – Your Ace Up Your Sleeve
Curative scab control in fruit growing. Rain, prolonged leaf wetness periods, and high scab pressure? No problem! With its strong curative activity, CURATIO® provides an effective stop treatment that protects your plants and efficiently halts infections.
Weather conditions with regular rainfall and extended leaf wetness periods have always favored the development of fungal pathogens in fruit production. In particular, apple scab (Venturia inaequalis) can spread rapidly under such conditions and lead to significant yield and quality losses. For these critical phases in the infection cycle, fruit growers have access not only to preventive measures but also to plant protection products that allow treatment during an ongoing infection.
CURATIO® is a biological fungicide primarily used for curative control of apple scab. It is based on lime sulfur (380 g/L) and is approved for the control of apple and pear scab in fruit production. The product is suitable for use in both organic and integrated fruit growing systems.
Application in Pome Fruit
In apple and pear production, CURATIO® is used as a strongly curative stop treatment during the primary infection period. Application can be made to wet or dry foliage and is possible up to 300 degree-hours (base 0°C) after the onset of rainfall and infection. After drying, a sulfur deposit remains on the leaf surface, providing additional preventive activity. During prolonged rainy periods, CURATIO® can also be applied in secondary infection phases.
CURATIO® is considered non-residue-relevant and has no known resistance issues. Its efficacy is maintained even at lower temperatures. Applications at temperatures above 28°C should be avoided to prevent phytotoxic effects.
